Jo’s experience of working with a wide range of issues means, she can help you understand what is going wrong and identify the strategies that will help you move forward, as quickly as possible. Having worked both in the public and private sectors before becoming a therapist, Jo also has a real understanding of work place issues and the importance of creating a work life balance. She excels in helping people achieve this.
Jo has helped people overcome many different issues including: low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, work issues, stress, panic disorders, anger management, low mood, bullying, trauma, eating disorders and chronic illness.
Jo is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Transactional Analysis (TA), Transpersonal, Psychodynamic and Person Centred therapies. Jo has additional specialist training in: stress, workplace bullying, bereavement, eating disorders (including anorexia, bulimia nervosa, and compulsive eating) and chronic illness. Jo also draws on her post-graduate training in occupational psychology to assist with work related issues including workplace stress and bullying.
Jo is a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist with an MSc in Occupational Psychology, BSc (Hons) in Psychology, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy.
Jo is an accredited and registered with the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and the BPS (British Psychological Society) and also a Member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
