How long will it take to build self-confidence?

The time it takes to build self-confidence can vary depending on your starting point, past experiences, and what you’d like to achieve.  Some clients begin to feel more confident within a few sessions, especially as they learn practical tools to challenge self-criticism, recognise strengths, and approach situations with greater assurance. For longer-lasting change, particularly if low confidence has been shaped by past experiences or long-term patterns, more sessions may be helpful to rebuild self-belief from the inside out.   For example, some people find 6 or 12 to 24 sessions works well for them, other people find more sessions useful.  Your therapist can help you identify how many sessions will work best for you.
