Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy in London
With a National Award (BACP) for clinical excellence in counselling and psychotherapy service provision, our Director, Maggie Morrow, leads a team of expert therapists in London who specialise in helping you take back control from within. Incorporating the powerful Internal Family Systems approach into our integrative therapy work, we equip you with tools to understand and calm your inner critic, heal unresolved emotional wounds, and access the strength, clarity, and confidence of your true self—so you can lead your life, not be led by your pain.
Finding the right therapist shouldn’t feel overwhelming. With over 30 years of experience, our Clinical Directors will personally match you with a skilled therapist who is trained to help with a wide range of issues—empowering you to create meaningful and lasting change—so you can move forward with greater self-awareness, confidence, and emotional freedom.
We offer therapy rooms in Central London, the City of London and online therapy options.

What is Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy?
IFS therapy is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps you understand and work with the different “parts” of yourself — especially the ones that may feel stuck in fear, anger, shame, anxiety, or self-doubt. Instead of viewing these emotions or behaviours as problems to “fix”, IFS invites you to approach them with curiosity and compassion. What is that anxious part trying to protect you from? What’s driving the inner critic’s voice?
IFS recognises that we are all made up of many internal parts, each with its own story, role, and intention. Even the most disruptive parts are often trying to help in the only way they know how. Beneath all of these parts is your core Self — a calm, confident, compassionate inner leader who can help your parts heal and work together in harmony.
With help from our experienced therapists, you’ll learn to connect with your Self and transform the parts of you that feel stuck, overwhelmed or in pain. Whether you’re addressing a specific issue or seeking deeper self-awareness, IFS offers a clear, empowering path to lasting emotional wellbeing and inner harmony.

How IFS Therapy Can Help You
If you feel caught in patterns that no longer serve you — overthinking, people-pleasing, emotional reactivity, self-criticism — IFS therapy can offer you a clear way forward.
Rather than suppressing emotions or trying to “fix” yourself, IFS helps you understand why you feel what you feel — and gives you the tools to understand your internal world. By building a relationship with your parts, you’ll learn how to listen to yourself in a new way, unlocking insight, confidence, and deep emotional healing, allowing you to create lasting change, from the inside out.
Whatever challenge you’re facing — high-functioning anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, relationship issues or burnout — IFS equips you with the tools to lead your life from a place of strength, not survival.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How is IFS different from other types of therapy?
-
Unlike some therapies that focus mainly on symptom reduction, IFS focuses on internal relationships — the parts of you that may feel in conflict or stuck. It’s non-pathologising, meaning it sees all parts of you as having a positive intention. This can feel deeply validating and transformative and contribute powerfully to symptom reduction.
