One key factor which contributes significantly to low self-esteem in adulthood, is repeatedly using old ineffective habits – without realizing we are doing it!
Do you ever find yourself in certain situations saying “I wish I hadn’t done that” or “I wish I didn’t feel this way” and, “next time, I will not do that again.” Then sure enough, the next time a similar situation occurs, before you know it you’ve had the same reaction and used the same habit, again! It’s like you cannot stop yourself, even when you consciously want to. Very frustrating!
